This is the forth of July and most of our Blessed USA is celebrating our freedom, including me, it has been a great day, I help out at the new Life Church Campus by taking pictures, and just so enjoyed it. Then spent some time at our down town celebration, wow it was great with all our local talent give it their all to God and our country. Then the cream Le` cream my son call and had me over for a cook out and special time with my family, God is so good. Freedom is to live your life everyday like a brand new sunrise brings. I am reading a book I spoke of before called “The Shack” by William P. Young, and in it the main charter ask Papa God a question, and Papa’ answer to Mack was; “Mack I have already finished, and have done My part, now you do yours.” Through this I found such freedom just live my life and enjoy where I am at, and don’t rush through. It was once said you need to stop and smell the roses; well this is true, stop right now and smell the wonderful garden God has planted for you and enjoy His love for you.

Happy Reading

Compromise

06/26/2008

For a week or so it has been on my heart the word “Compromise”; three times now I have heard it, so I went and looked up what this word truly meant and even read some stories about it. Then I prayed and hoped I have not compromise in any of my action, but some how I think God was going to reveal to all of us, that we all have compromise in one way or another. So what I am about to write is what I believe the Lord is downloading in me as I type.

Compromise can have two meanings; one is when two people, or place or thing come to an agreement and each compromise’s something in their belief system to do so.

Like a married couple, the husband wants to go golfing, and the wife want to go shopping, so the two of them come to the middle and compromise what each want for the other, and then peace comes.

Another meaning is a city that gives in to pressure from big business, men who pressure them to go a certain way, and the city will compromise in order for these business to come into a city. Now was that a good compromise or a bad one? It will depend on what the issue was, and that is in anything that we measure.

So a big question I believe from God’s heart is “Are you compromising your faith or belief system in order to please man, or yourself? What would it mean to compromise with God’s word? I know of a church that allowed the world’s way of doing things to creep in there belief system just so they could be a seeker friendly place to come and worship however, there worship music was worldly songs that they tried to turn in to Godly songs. God does not need recycled music or recycled anything, for He is the Creator of all things. So by doing what they did “Compromise” their doors shut, and the sheep of that part of the body was scattered.

I am asking myself these same questions; some people say you just go too deep, well how deep is God? How deep and wide is His love for us? Wouldn’t the Holy Spirit want us to go as deep in Jesus as possible? There have been very deep wrinkles and spots in our souls and love feast according to what the Lord says,

I Timothy 6:14 says this: 6:14 (KJV)

Lets look at the word necessity, this word means: necessity imposed either by the circumstances, or by law of duty regarding to one’s advantage, custom, argument calamity, distress, straits

So the bible says not to do give a seed because of a need right? So why does the body of Christ do this? For this is where I have been pulled in and pressured of sowing and reaping. Bad motives.

Let’s look at the word not grudgingly:

Lets look at the word Purpose:

Numbers 30 Making a vow. (NCB)

Moses spoke with the leaders of the Israelite tribes. He told them these commands from the Lord. 2 ”If a man makes a promise to the Lord or says he will do something special, he must keep his promise. He must do what he said.

3 If a young woman still living at home makes a promise to the Lord or pledges to do something special, 4 and if her father hears about the promise or pledge and says nothing, she must do what she promised. She must keep her pledge. 5 But if her father hears about the promise or pledge and does not allow it, then the promise or pledge does not have to be kept. Her father would not allow it, so the Lord will free her from her promise. 6 ”If a woman makes a pledge or a careless promise and then gets married, 7 and if her husband hears about it and says nothing, she must keep her promise or the pledge she made. 8 But if her husband hears about it and does not allow it, he cancels her pledge or the careless promise she made. The Lord will free her from keeping it. 9 ”If a widow or divorced woman makes a promise, she must do whatever she promised. 10 ”If a woman makes a promise or pledge while she is married, 11 and if her husband hears about it but says nothing and does not stop her, she must keep her promise or pledge. 12 But if her husband hears about it and cancels it, she does not have to do what she said. Her husband has canceled it, so the Lord will free her from it. 13 A woman’s husband may make her keep or cancel any promise or pledge she has made. 14 If he says nothing to her about it for several days, she must keep her promises. If he hears about them and says nothing, she must keep her promises. 15 But if he cancels them long after he heard about them, he is responsible if she breaks her promise.” 16 These are commands that the Lord gave to Moses for husbands and wives, and for fathers with daughters living at home.

I bring this up because this has been my weakness, I want to give cheerfully, and make a pledge, then, I do not have the money to pay my bills, and it is not so cheerful, I have is times past thought God spoke to my heart about a certain offering, and then the money never came or was post pone to the point of me compromising my word. In the above chapter in numbers, it talks about a husband or father breaking these vows, I truly believe because God is my husband and Father He came in and broke them, and this is all happen that I may learn to be more alter and gain wisdom from my mistakes. I love to give to the Lord and He know this, and when I hear a need my heart leaps, however if I am not able to pay my bills, because of lack in the season I am in, then it would not be very cheerful would it?

I did know that the word on Compromise was going to lead this way, how thankful I am so I could repent for my lack of faith. We as God’s people give to God what is already His, the tithe, and give our offering with gladness, for God is not mocked;

There is another compromise we make in God’s ways, when God wants us to write and inform the Body about something, do we? I know for me it has been hard however, I do it anyway, for God told me long ago in Jeremiah 1: 1-10

4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained F1 thee a prophet unto the nations. 6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. 8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. 10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

So even when I get mocked at, God will come to my rescue, and confirm His word and doings in my life and in the nations. He will for you as well, don’t be afraid, for God is with you.

Do Not compromise the leading of our Lord, and just obey with joy and you will never go wrong, but remember this; you are still in your human suit, and because of that God says;

Is 55:6-10

6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous F248 man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So do not ever think you have arrived just because you say in His word and always listen for Him, until the day we are face to face we will not fully know Him. So keep on keeping on and preserve in Christ Jesus for He is the hope of your glory. Happy Reading

Dear Body of Christ,

This came to me this morning and I feel we as the Body of Christ here is the USA need to stand up for America in Prayer, As I was praying I heard out of my mouth, that the USA has given her resources, her men and women to countries around the world, and with everything in array like it seems to be, I believe God is wanting us to stand in agreement with His word. We as Americans can not just sit by, we need to call in the Harvest of what the USA has been giving to other countries for over 200 years.

Gen. 19:29
And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt

Gen. 9:15

And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

Here are a few scriptures that lets us know we are not so bad that God will not remember us through His Judgment, when ever Judgment came, God always remembered His people, and Note I say His people, Lot was of Abraham, and he was spared.

It has been a few days since I have posted anything, but I am back.

I wanted to talk about the fear of control; and what does that really means. There was a situation in a young lady’s life that brought this up recently. For years this young lady had been a faithful member of the body of Christ, loved her pastors and congregation dearly, but something was wrong. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but never really could get too close to anyone, the moment she did, a situation would rise up and she would create a distance between the people and her. Only a very few people where allowed in her heart, and then she would test their faithfulness to the hilt. But in her mind that seemed to be the only way she could know if they would be true to her.

You see until very recently when everything around her went swirling downward did she take action. The Lord had told her that this only comes out by fasting and prayer. In April of this certain year she put God to His word, and fasted and prayed, on the 7th day all hell broke loose, and then on the ten day, (three days later) the truth came forth.

John 8:31-3731 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I have inserted this to let you know this is the Word she stands on.The truth was for many years due to two fail marriages, and a cult ministry from her pass, that so control her, that it destroyed her life, her marriage, and almost her children and a dad that could care less and never protected her from bad things. So, for all these many years she was only able in her heart to stand aloof, and not really love the way she needed too, for love covers all, and at time she was not able to do that. Her fear had been if she allow a person in authority advise her or direct her steps in anyway that went across the grains of her heart, then she backed off, and put a wall up, so that person could not hurt her no more.

The root had been so deep seeded in her it was almost like part of her DNA, But God shown up, when love came in and she made a choice to be free and let love wash her clean. The one thing God said in His word;”Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. So if this is true, and it is, can God answer when people are in fear? What is fear?

IJohn 4:18 (NIV)
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
For all these years the young lady felt punished

IPeter 3:14
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened.”

Can you see this is clearly not faith; ok so what is faith? What does faith look like?

Gal 3:22
But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe

Hebrews 11:1-3 (NIV)
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

Ok now I would like to leave you with this question, What kind of control have you feared?

Be honest with yourself and God, and confess your faults one to the other, so you will be free, and go and convert your brothers and sisters.
Happy Reading

I want to share a wonderful experience with you. I was invited to go with a friend to the Symphony last Saturday night, I am almost 53 years young and had never been introduce to this wonderful place. I was caugh up by the beauty of the music, I cried for the better part of the first portion. For some reason in my mind I thought it would be wrong to be in a place like this, however, God created all and for all.

I was caught up in the last song that Tenor David Corman sung, called “Bring him home.” I saw a vision of a heavenly choir, it was beautiful, it stretched from one end of heaven to the other, which you could n’t see the end for there really is no end in Heaven. This heavenly Choir was singing to the Lord and it just about took my breath away.

I just wonder how many other things I have missed out on because of ill thinking?

Philippians 3:8 says, “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, and whatsoever things are of a good report, if there be any virtue (life-giving) if there be any praise, think on these things.

Can a City Be Transformed

Can an entire city be transformed for Jesus Christ? The book of Acts reveals that at least one city was. There are four key ingredients required among its Christian leaders to see a city transformed. These include prayer, humility, unity, and knowledge of God’s ways.

Prayer
In every city in which transformation has taken place, believers have come together to pray for their city. Prayer changes the spiritual climate of a city. Some of the main areas of influence that must be the focus of our prayers include churches and businesses; the legal, political, educational and medical fields; and the media/entertainment industry. Workplace leaders must be strategically aligned with intercessors to impact their city.

HumilityGod
uses men and women who recognize that they need each other and who do not seek glory for their work. “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way” (Ps. 25:9). The workplace leaders that God is using today care little about being in the limelight.
UnityJesus said, “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me” (John 17:23). God calls each of us individually and corporately to represent Christ to the world, but our independence, pride and egos often prevent us from becoming unified in the purposes of Christ.

Knowledge of God’s Ways
Sometimes leaders can move in presumption instead of in a faith that is rooted in knowledge of God’s ways. Such was the case of David, who wanted to bring the Ark of the Covenant into the city of Jerusalem. He was zealous for God and celebrated as he brought the Ark into the city. However, the ark was being carried into the city on a cart instead of by priests on poles, as God required. When a man named Uzzah reached out to catch the Ark when the oxen stumbled, he was immediately struck dead by God. David was devastated. He lacked a knowledge of God’s ways.
Do you want to see your city transformed? Make sure the three ingredients of prayer, unity and knowledge of God’s ways exist in your leadership team.

Let me add this prayer: By Jacqueline

Psalms 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling– even the Lord, who is my refuge– 10 then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Is there a good gossip, verses bad gossip? The answer is NO, Any gossip is bad, let’s define that word gossip: According to Webster this word means this: a person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts about others 2 a:rumor or report of an intimate nature b: a chatty talk c: the subject matter of gossip

I have found over the years that there are some who think just because they own a business, or are the president of a school or college, or the pastor of a church they have the right to talk when according to God and His word no one has that right. Gossip will destroy, and when you sow those kinds of seed you are destroying yourself, it will catch up with one day, so just as I have had to do I am ask each one who reads this to search their own hearts and examine if you have got caught up in this trap the devil sets to harm us and those around us.

The bible says this: In Psalm 15:1-5 NCV

The Ants and gossip

I came across this note I had from 10/05/1995 about ants. In my from lawn there was a red ant bed, and I had not notice it before, and at this time of year they should have been inside and ready for winter. However they were still gathering food for the winter. The Bible tells us to pay attention to the ants. There were a few things that came to my attention that October day. The ants did not have a captain over them, but they all knew just what to do, each one would go and gather food to take back in the den, and be ready for the time when they would not be able to do that. At this time an older man about 75 years old came walking down my sidewalk, and he stopped and looked at the bed of ants, and told me I need to poison them or by next year they might take over my yard. I did not have any poison, however he did and was gracious enough to get his and he taught the best way to tackle these ants. He took the pellets of poison and made a circle around the bed, and told me to watch them. I did with utmost interest, I would see the ants take the poison in the bed hole and then back out as if they knew it was bad, however it was too late, because once the poison was in the hole it was infected, and one by one the ants would die. The lesson I learned that day was not just about team work, but how deadly our mouths can be, you see the ant had to carry this poison with its mouth, so it infected the whole camp, when we as God people or heathens speck badly about one another we cause dead in one form or another, you see this poison the ants had carried in their mouth is just like the poisonous words we infect other with, so let all clean our hearts and wash out the poison with God love and word, and build one another up into holiness. Love you all.

Divine Direction

All my life in the Christian world I have been called a Joesph, and Esther, you know you tend to think of all the glamor of these two peoples lives, however you must see what they went through to get to where they are, and that is the same for all of us, The following was an email I received this morning and just had to blog it. For this is my life, people wonder why I go through the things I do, I even question it, what sin am I doing? Am I in God’s will? and if I am why is this thing happening to me, Well here is the answer for me, as well as anyone who is going through the same thing, God Bless and Happy Reading.

Divine DirectionRev. James C. Matthews
“Then some Midianite traders passed by, so they pulled him up and lifted Joseph out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. Thus they brought Joseph into Egypt.” Genesis 37:28
Often, when we look for direction from God we seek the miraculous. We search for a sign, a voice or a vision to make our paths plain. However, God can and does employ more common (even painful) experiences in our life to provide direction for our lives. We lose a job, experience a break up in a relationship, financial instability, stricken with an illness or something is taken from us. These “life events” may be God’s way of causing us to look in another direction. God will often close a door, to point us in the direction of another.
God has a purpose and plan for our lives. The problem is – so do we. Often our plans and God’s plan are not the same. We often seek things that are short sighted. God knows this and allows certain events in our lives to point us in the right direction. Often these situations look nothing like what we think God’s plan for our lives should look like. We must be careful not to misconstrue God’s direction as persecution. “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
If anyone’s life demonstrates this principle it’s Joseph. Joseph received a dream from God revealing his destiny. In his dream he was in a place of prestige and power. In a matter of days, Joseph went from being his father’s favorite son to being a slave in a foreign land. He was thrown into a pit, sold into slavery and taken to Egypt to spend the rest of his life. Unbeknownst to Joseph, all of this was God’s way of positioning him to fulfill his purpose in life. Joseph had to go into the pit, to meet Potiphar. Potiphar’s wife had to falsely accuse Joseph for him to be sent to prison. It was in prison where Joseph met attendants in Pharaoh’s court. It was because of this time in prison that Joseph received the opportunity to meet Pharaoh. When he met Pharaoh he entered into his destiny.
When Joseph laid his head down to sleep that first night in Egypt he was far from home, but squarely within God’s plan. God declares: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, “declares the LORD.” For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9). I am sure Joseph saw the changes in his situation as set backs, when in reality they were setups. God was providing “divine direction” through what appeared to be disaster. Each disappointing turn in his life pointed him in the direction of his destiny and purpose.
Some of you may be experiencing what appears to be a disaster or dead end in your life, when in fact it’s direction. As you experience your transition, never lose sight of God’s sovereignty. Sometimes God allows us to lose control so that He can take control. When Joseph’s brothers threw him into the pit, I am sure he had no idea he had taken the first step toward his destiny. After looking over his life and all that had transpired, Joseph was able to say to his brothers: “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result…” (Genesis 50:20). Everything he thought was an accident was really providence. It was divine direction!
